If you were to feed any other bird of prey with a bone, it would be considered illeagle..

There solves my excessive bone problem. Just need to worry about the meat and their personal belongings

Vultures are so chill. They’re like “we don’t hurt anyone, we just clean all the messes up”

    4. They’re really the most ethical carnivores around. Don’t hurt a fly, cleans up the rubbish nobody wants, keeps infectious diseases at bay for the rest of us.

I keep trying to write a comment about how excited the bird gets when it sees the bone and I have to keep erasing it and trying again with different words for obvious reasons. This represents attempt 6.

    6. These birds can carry bones up to 8 lbs. They often carry the bones aloft, dropping them on rocks to break them open. This exposes the marrow. It is believed that bearded vulture chicks need two years of attempts in order to become successful bone breakers.
Can you imagine the judgment this must take to calculate angle, height, windspeed to get the bone to hit a rock, the bird being many meters in the air?

Damn. Hence, nothing is left. They fulfil their purpose, truly part of nature’s clean-up crew.
